Geoffrey Drummond is President of A La Carte Communications, widely regarded as the premier independent producer of high-quality culinary television and video programs. Drummond has won numerous awards for his work, including three National Emmy Awards, seven James Beard Awards, two IACP Awards and two Cine Golden Eagles.

For more than 25 years, Drummond has produced and directed commercial, public television, cable, and home video programs. Many of the country's most respected chefs„ including Lidia Bastianich, Daniel Boulud, Julia Child, Emeril Lagasse, Jacques Pépin, Nancy Silverton, Charlie Trotter, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Alice Waters--have become familiar faces to home viewers through programs that Drummond brought to television. Others like Julia Child and Jacques Pépin continue their strong TV presence in his programs.

Projects of Drummond's that are currently airing nationally include: Emmy, James Beard and IACP Award winning Julia and Jacques Cooking at Home, Baking with Julia, which won an Emmy and a James Beard Award; Lidia's Italian Table, with 13 new episodes now in production for January 2001; Savor the Southwest, and Weir Cooking from Wine Country.

On December 4, 1999, A La Carte, with both PBS and APTV, produced An American Feast, a live 3-hour culinary extravaganza hosted by Julia Child and Burt Wolf, and starring kitchen favorites Martin Yan, Lidia Bastianich, Paul Prudhomme, Jacques Pépin, and Nathalie Dupree. The Special celebrated thirty-five years of great cooking on Public Television. An edited version is currently available to PBS stations.

After graduating from Cornell University and Stanford University Graduate School, Drummond began his career at Time Life Films as a writer and later, producer. He was co-founder and President of Saga Communications Group, an international film and television production company. Saga produced numerous award winning films, including the cult classic, My Dinner with Andre. Under his own independent banner, Drummond went on to produce numerous television and home video programs, including Garrison Keillor's The Prairie Home Companion series with Disney, Master Chefs with PBS, Going Home with Disney, and others.

Since 1990, when Drummond founded A LA Carte Communications with Natan Katzman, the company has specialized almost exclusively in the development and production of culinary programming. Katzman brings to A La Carte credentials and experience in audience and social research, TV production, ancillary product sales, and broadcast management. After receiving his doctorate from Stanford in communications research, he taught at Michigan State University for three years. He then founded Research & Programming Services Corporation, which specialized in audience and TV programming research. From 1978 to 1990, he was a senior manager of PBS station KQED in San Francisco. He was first Director of Broadcasting and then Vice President and TV Stations Manager.
